Bitumen 50/70

Bitumen 50/70 is a type of refinery bitumen obtained from the vacuum distillation tower. It has a penetration degree between 50 and 70. This grade of bitumen is produced through a blowing process in a refinery, similar to other penetration grades. Due to its medium air blowing and penetration, it is suitable for mild areas and highly recommended for use in temperate climates. Bitumen 50/70 is mainly used for road pavement and is commonly utilized in road construction, insulation, building construction, and liquid bitumen production. It is more suitable for use in temperate climate regions.
Sebco is one of the companies that produce high-quality bitumen 50/70.

1. Softening point: The softening point of this bitumen is between 49 and 56 degrees Celsius. This means that the bitumen hardens at temperatures below 49°C and softens at temperatures above 56°C.

2. Boiling point: The boiling point of 50/70 bitumen ranges between 220 and 260 degrees Celsius.

3. Adhesion: This type of bitumen exhibits good adhesion, meaning it can adhere well to other surfaces.

4. Permeability: The permeability of this bitumen is relatively low, indicating resistance to water penetration.

5. Dynamic softening temperature: The dynamic softening temperature of this bitumen falls between 35 and 45 degrees Celsius.

6. Dynamic friction coefficient: The dynamic friction coefficient of this bitumen ranges between 0.4 and 0.6.

Bitumen 50/70 is available in various packaging options, including steel drums, jumbo bags, Bitutainers, and bulk.
