Bitumen 100/150
Bitumen 100/150 is a type of refinery bitumen obtained from the vacuum aeration of the distillation tower. It has a penetration degree between 100 and 150. This grade of bitumen is produced through a blowing process in a refinery, similar to other penetration grades. Due to its medium air blowing and penetration, it is suitable for mild areas and is highly recommended for use in temperate climates. Bitumen 100/150 is mainly used for paving roads. This type of bitumen is commonly used in road construction, insulation, building construction, and liquid bitumen production. It is more appropriate for use in temperate climate regions. Sebco is one of the companies that produce high-quality bitumen 100/150.
Here are some features of Bitumen 100/150:
1. Softening point: Its softening point is between 49 and 56 degrees Celsius. This means that this bitumen hardens at temperatures below 49°C and softens at temperatures above 56°C.
2. Boiling point: The boiling point of 100/150 bitumen is between 220 and 260 degrees Celsius.
3. Adhesion: The adhesion of this type is good, meaning that this bitumen can adhere well to other surfaces.
4. Permeability: Its permeability is relatively low, indicating that this bitumen is resistant to water penetration.
5. Dynamic softening temperature: Its dynamic softening temperature is between 35 and 45 degrees Celsius.
6. Dynamic friction coefficient: its dynamic friction coefficient is between 0.4 and 0.6.
